Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone

Norfolk Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm

Located more than 47km from the Norfolk coast, Norfolk Vanguard is a 2.8GW capacity project that will provide the equivalent electricity needs of 1.95 million UK homes per year. The project will help to cement and maintain East Anglia as a UK renewable energy powerhouse, and put the region at the heart of our national transition to a low carbon economy, while supporting hundreds of local jobs and continuing to sponsor local and regional skills initiatives.

Unfortunately once the construction of the project reaches us we will be losing the use of some of the grazing meadow which guests currently enjoy around the CL pitches.  The project requires excavating the meadow in order to lay cables to transit the energy from the off shore wind farms to the substation.  At this point we do not have any definative timescales for the works however we are aware that there will be fencing and soil bunds that will distract from the current views.  Once we know more about the exact timing of the works and how the landscape will change we will publish more information and contact guests affected to discuss their options.  If you have any concerns or questions please do give us a call – 01953 571 633

Please see below a map highlighting the corridor of the cable route and the area of our meadows that will be affected:
